In her own words

Why?

I often wonder, in a world where money has become the most significant motivation, adding clutter to the world does not seem unthinkable. Shouldn’t the conditions around us increase our responsibility as designers many folds? I think so. The undying fervor for social causes inspires my design work. For years, I have explored the dynamism of design — whether it intends to empower women, sustain economically challenged communities, make services more accessible, or help keep the earth green. At the core, I work to bring a positive impact through what I do both with corporate giants and social organizations.

What?

When I was little, people would ask me (rather a lot), “What do you want to be when you grow up?”. I just had one answer, “I don’t know what I want to be when I grow up, but I do know what I want to do. I want to help people”. Thus began my journey to do what I do now, design.

How?

To achieve the goals I aspired for, empowerment with design tools was necessary. Thus I have received formal training in Human-Computer-Interaction, User Experience, and Accessibility practices from MIT, Stanford, and Pratt Institute. I also hold a Master’s degree in Industrial design from Loughborough University, preceded by the Bachelor’s in design degree from NIFT (National Institute of Fashion Technology).
